Terms of use
Last updated 20 October 2026 · version draft-2026-10
These terms cover your use of Lienage at app.lienage.com and our field capture app. By accepting them when you start, you agree to them on behalf of your company. If your company has signed a separate agreement with Lienage, that agreement wins where the two differ. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.
What Lienage does
Lienage helps you prepare distributed renewable energy projects for financing: it organises your documents, tracks what financiers require, builds a financial model and site design, and flags gaps and inconsistencies. Financing decisions are made by financiers, not by Lienage. Nothing in Lienage is an offer of finance, or legal, tax, engineering or investment advice.
Your account and your team
- You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for your company.
- Keep your sign-in private. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- Your company's owners and admins decide who joins and what each person can do.
Your information
- Your company owns the documents and information it puts into Lienage.
- You allow Lienage to store, read and process them to provide the service to you, and to share them with financiers when you choose to.
- You confirm you have the right to give us what you upload, forward or import, including anything about other people, such as customers in a survey.
- You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you submit to financiers. Lienage's estimates, drafts and AI readings are there to help, and you should check them before relying on them.
Confidentiality
We keep your documents and project information confidential and use them only to prepare your projects and, with your approval, to share them with financiers you choose. They are never used to train AI models. The confidentiality agreement you accept when you start sets this out in full.
Accounts you connect
When you connect Gmail, Outlook, Google Drive or OneDrive, you allow Lienage to use that access as described in the privacy policy. You can disconnect at any time. Google's and Microsoft's own terms also apply to your accounts with them.
Fair use
Don't use Lienage to break the law, to upload anything you have no right to share, to interfere with the service or other users, or to try to reach information that isn't yours.
The service
We work to keep Lienage available and accurate, and we keep improving it, so features can change. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it. You can stop using Lienage at any time; see the privacy policy for what happens to your information.
Responsibility
Lienage is provided to help you prepare for financing; it does not guarantee that any project will be financed. To the extent the law allows, Lienage is not responsible for indirect losses, or for decisions made by financiers or by you on the basis of information in Lienage. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
If we change these terms, we will update the date above and ask you to accept significant changes before they apply to you.
